Volunteering or working for Providence Housing Development Corporation is a rewarding experience!

As a Providence Housing volunteer or employee, you help support our mission to strengthen families and communities by creating and providing access to quality affordable housing enriched by the availability of supportive services. Your work every day directly enriches the quality of life in families. We are proud to be part of a community that cares for others.

Volunteer Opportunities

Providence Housing is happy to host short-term volunteer projects at our rental projects. Every year, volunteers for the United Way Day of Caring and Day of Action help us with our spring clean-up. Incoming freshmen at the University of Rochester participate in Wilson Day, a day of volunteering in the community. They have helped us stain the many fences at Plymouth Manor, Carlson Commons and Olean Heights. Several visiting church youth groups and missionaries, from all over the United States, have used their day of service to maintain our gardens and lawns. Past projects like the community-built playground at Union Meadows involved volunteers from St. Vincent’s Youth Group, East HS/SOTA Swim Team, many staff members and their families. Please contact Debbie at 585.529.9555 debbie.goetz@dor.org if you are interested in volunteering for Providence Housing in any way.
