ABOUT USProvidence Housing Names New Executive Director
Monica C. McCullough, who has expertise in law, economics, public administration and advocacy for those in need, has been named executive director of Providence Housing Development Corporation. She will begin her new role Dec. 5, 2005. McCullough holds both a law degree and a master's degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University, as well as a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Rochester. She is awaiting admittance to the New York State Bar. "Providing safe, affordable housing for people in need and from all walks of life is not just our business, it is our mission," McCullough said. "We are blessed with a tremendously dedicated staff and people throughout the Diocese who are supportive. My role will be to build on and expand Providence Housing's history of success in strengthening not only families, but entire communities." Jack Balinsky, diocesan director of Catholic Charities and chairman of the Providence Housing board of trustees, said McCullough has all the right qualifications to lead Providence. "Monica will bring incredible energy, passion and knowledge to this role. She has vision and she has experience. In addition, she also has the ongoing good counsel of founding director Maggie Bringewatt, who serves us now as senior development consultant." McCullough previously served Providence Housing as director of relocation services and as a development associate. She also has served as a consumer representative in the New York State Attorney General's Office, assisted lawyers in the Volunteer Legal Services Project and was a member of the Diocese of Rochester's Public Policy Committee. |
