The Monroe County Homeownership Program assists low- and moderate-income families learn the ins and outs of buying and maintaining a home. Households with injured credit will be guided through the credit repair process. Through one-on-one counseling, families identify their options and take the steps necessary to ready themselves for first-time homeownership. Shelter + Care provides rental assistance to individuals and their families who have been homeless at one point in their lives and have chronic substance abuse problems. This program serves eligible families throughout Monroe County. Case management services are available to assist clients actively rebuild their lives. Clients must be referred by an agency licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse. Income requirements apply. Rental Application in PDF format |
